Mailing Lists

Mailing lists act as email discussion groups, or listservs. This is a way for groups to discuss an issue via email. To partcipate individuals must subscribe to the relevant discussion group, or mailing list.

Adding a subscriber remotely:

A user wishing to subscribe to the mailing list must send an email message addressed to listname-request@schooldomain and the body of the message should only contain the word subscribe.
e.g. water-request@internal.schools.net.au

Removing a subscriber remotely:

A user wishing to unsubscribe from the mailing list must send an email message addressed to listname-request@schooldomain and the body of the message should only contain the word unsubscribe. N.B. in both cases leave the subject field blank.
