The combined National / State Conference for  the Australian Institute of Art Education (AIAE) and Art Education Victoria (AEV) will be held at  Melbourne Girls’ Grammar School Anderson Street, South Yarra 3 - 7 July 2000

This promises to be a conference to remember with art events, markets and tours as well as a full program with a huge variety of papers, presentations and practical workshops. Conference 2000 is not to be missed.

The Annual Art Education Victoria Teacher’s Bursary

In 1999 Art Education Victoria created an award for Victorian art teachers who are current individual members. This year we are offering a bursary which will pay the full registration fee of $490.00 for 6 art teachers to attend the combined National / State Conference for  the Australian Institute of Art Education (AIAE) and Art Education Victoria (AEV) in Melbourne 3 - 7 July, 2000. 
This bursary is targeted especially at teachers who are unable to attend the Conference because of their school’s inability to support them financially. Recipients of the bursary will be expected to pay for, arrange and book their own accommodation and travel to and from Melbourne if necessary. Teachers should note that some inexpensive accommodation is available through a Homestay Program.

VCE & Primary Art Teacher Networks Art Education Victoria is supporting local art teacher networks across the state where art teachers are willing to meet, plan and coordinate meetings amongst themselves. Homestay Hosts Required
July 3 - 7

We’ve had numerous enquiries from people interstate, overseas and country Victoria for homestay  accommodation. These people are desperate to come to our conference, but their finances often stretch only as far as the registration and travel.

We need our members to help accommodate these people – just a bed & access to a bathroom is all that is required. This is an opportunity to meet interesting people.
